Octopus Odyssey

Cleft in between the rocks

My tentacles kiss

A surface of soullessness

Gliding through the amniotic fluid

Weightlessness

Hatelessness

Scheming of dreams to have frescoes

Bear my image

The Minoans did, you know

A celebratory kingdom

Cracked open from crab husks

My beak, my orifice with pincers

The color fades

I’m an albino

Curiosity before the divers

Stay back, or I’ll douse you

My escape cloud,

Jet-hued fantasy of making myself invisible

Oh, the languorous waves of night tug at my tentacles,

Sway with the absurdity of

Meat made magnificent

Whoever said being spineless was a flaw?
